Well, first fell race tomorrow after quite some time and with no hill training and a dodgy knee (eeek)...so been looking for some inspiration...really like "If" by rudyard kipling and wish there was a female version, anyhoo...instead i found this little lot...
first some qoutes...
“The journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.” ....Lao Tzu
and...
"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." ......Mark Twain
and finally, a poem...
Still Here
Langston Hughes
I been scared and battered.
My hopes the wind done scattered.
Snow has friz me,
Sun has baked me,
Looks like between 'em they done
Tried to make me
Stop laughin', stop lovin', stop livin'--
But I don't care!
I'm still here!
well, if that doesn't get me round nowt will!
have a lovely night fellpoets...off to see the Kings speech!
