I ran 400m today with no pain...first time since May believe it or not...been racking up mileage on the bike
Full body workout at the gym including squats. 30 minute tempo run along the canal towpath and across the fields when I got home.
Ran Washburn Valley relay leg 2 for club. Painful :closed:
Heavy rain was forecast today, but didnt see a drop as I trotted around the Long Mynd for a few hours.
Weather reports must have put people off, hardly anyone about.
2 hours 54 mostly in rain over the hills around Macclesfield Forest. Felt really good early on but the effects of the introduction of speed work and squats to my training took it's toll. That and the cold rain on bare legs
10.5m/1777ft wet run with even wetter dog. Should have taken a machete to cut down all the nettles and stingy bushes that have grown over some place i've not been in a while. Shouldn't have run in bare legs!
First Triathlon today - only signed up last week. 400m pool swim, 30K road bike (1500 ascent) and 5 k flat run. I got round ok but there was comedy in the 'transition' from swim to run. Everyone else was off in their flash tri suits and I was faffing around for over 8 minutes with cycling shorts, shoes, socks, etc. Better frrom bike to run but the first few k of running after a 30k road ride were weird. Not sure if it's my thing - but as an excuse for spending thousands on kit it's probably unbeatable.
