there aren't really any steep grassy descents though are there? except off Kinder right at the end
the orange mudclaw did come in handy as they were pretty grippy on the flagging and rocks of the PW but I think comfort is possibly more important
Aye, did it last year, quite a bit of snow as i remember, can't bloody remember what i wore though:o
Remember some slippy flags before the drop into Crowden, some lady fell and gashed her leg quite badly.
Oh well, just turn up in whatever takes me fancy on sunday morning and hope job'll be reet, that's the main thing, turning up..........and finishing:)

slabs will be slippy but don't think the snow will give much trouble if at all. yes there's a fair amount of trail/road but the descent off BH and then Bleaklow plus the crossing and descent off Kinder. it's still wet up there.

Bus spaces!
There's a Pennine minibus leaving Hayfield at 0700 for Marsden and returning from Edale when everyone's back (or until we get bored waiting) to Hayfield. We've got two drop outs so PM me through the forum before teatime on Saturday if you want a seat. Cost is less than a tenner but depends on how full we get the bus.

where did you find these Merry? I really like the look of them but not many places have them, even online.
What's the fit like, widthwise? cos I'm not sure they come in the 2E wide fitting that NB do (couldn't see any online anyway).
Re: Tanky's Trog 2009 is on!!
nb 840 feel like slippers to me, but I was planning on wearing them because of the road section. Not so sure now but they held up well on our kinder and bleaklow reccies.
Might go back to mudclaw.
But anyway on to the main point of my almost pointless post:
Cough, cough fecking cough fecking splutter.
Still running though.

Got em here mate http://www.sportsshoes.com/product/N...d)-trail-shoe/
Went to the shop in Bradford to ensure a perfect fit. Didn't know they did a wide fitting, think mine are just a standard fit, hope you find some to suit;)
