45min beach/dunes run, starting to feel good again :) incidently its nearly 3 month since i ran on a road, this is due to trying to recover from an injury, just been running on beach and treadmill for few weeks and not only am i clear of injury, im also seemingly very strong. The proof will be when i race next!
5 heavy legged miles round usual haunts (Warrendale Knotts, Sugar Loaf Hill) in pitch dark to give new head torch a spin out, lovely warm breeze on the tops, and countless startled rabbits.
More beach activity for me again tonight - 8.5m loop with the first 2-3 on the beach. Must have been a high-tide as there was still a lot of water about and the sand had plenty of "give" in it...
Managed to scare a few people as I approached them on the sands / footpaths in the darkness (for once it wasn't me who was scared).
10k club run nice and steady
6m 1200' local run at lunchtime - some road and some off-road. The farmer had just cut the grass in the field I cross so I slipped in an 8 x 400m (or as close as I could get to 400m!) speed session in bare feet. It was warm out there today.
Finally managed a decent run after High Peaks 40 - did 12 miles at lunch in the Lincolnshire countryshire. Biggest hill was over a small bridge!!
5m to work and 7m home through woods and over t'moor, bloody warm un Norman!
Some good efforts! Mine was a bit meagre today, just a bit of circuit training and a 2m timetrial but yesterday I had a lovely 8m trot in the woods and by the river with a bit of photography and wildlife spotting thrown in. Can't wait until Friday's jaunt in the lakes, really hope I don't fall over quite as much this time.
20km each way to work (on the road bike) yesterday.
12km hilly trail run on Tuesday - first half at 6min/km, run back at 5min/km. Legs feeling OK, and possibly the last shirtless run of the year?
