12 miles on the bike last night just to stretch my legs after the Sandstone. Would have gone further but I have a creaky left crank (which I'm hoping is the bike) which was getting REALLY annoying.
Yesterday, cycled to work from Burley, in to Ilkley & up the Keighley Gate road (christ, that's steep, I'd rather run it), down to East Morton & along the canal to Saltaire.
Today, run over the moors from Burley to the 12 Apostles, down to Dick Hudsons & Shipley Glen Woods to Saltaire. 8.93 miles @ 8.2 m/m in 1.14. Then after work cycle back over the moors to Burley.
Looking forward to red wine, music & rest tonight !
A hilly 6 miler before work this morning...
Club 5-mile handicap this evening. First time I've done it so took a stab at my handicap. Something went wrong as I ended up setting off with the guy who runs a sub-15min 5k...
Anyway, a decent tempo training run.
6m to work 6m home, 4m with dog tonight. Hungry, always bloody hungry!
Almost 7m tonight along the river and round the woods but then it got too dark to see (and I forgot my headtorch) so I had to detour via a farm where they were muckspreading...running and trying not to inhale was a bit challenging.
9 miles and 1550ft Monday, lovely evening with blustery winds creating some great light conditions and a decidely pink Schehallion looking great
Last night was hill reps with a set of 4 reps of 1m x 1100ft, havent done these in a while but feel great for it!
Interval training with club last night, 5-minute efforts followed by 4-minute jog downs. Took it easy after a bit of a rough weekend .... 6 miles total covered.
Club run last night very hilly 12km in 1:15, all distances are now in km ready for next year might as well just get on with it.
