I was on the Dow Crag check point where it was more important to take number than photos so there aren't as many photos as I would have liked but there we are.
I had a glance at some the discussion about "folded numbers on shorts" on another thread and I did wonder, a little about the fuss but I learned a couple of lessons on Saturday - folded numbers are much, much more difficult to read. Numbers on shorts are even more difficult to read and folded numbers on shorts are even worse. In some instances with folded numbers on shorts it was possible to see only 1 of up to 3 digits of the race number. Fortunately it was a clear, bright, dry day in less benign conditions it would have been very difficult see race numbers.
Now I strongly support the idea of prohibiting folded numbers and insisting that numbers are pinned to vests rather than shorts - oh, and pay attention to where you bumbag/rucksack straps are: across your race number isn't ideal :-)
