Hey - don't be greedy! Have a job persuading them to venture to Calderdale once a year as it is.....!!
Widdop a possibility, but Reservoir Bogs likely to be same weekend as Hawkswick, if they ever get round to updating the calendar!

For the last however many years RB has clashed with an Eng Champs race. I didnt mean all 3 just saying there are other options than just Coiners

Sorry Margaret - that wasn't a dig at you! I seem to remember it took a while for this year's race details to make their way into the public domain!!

Received the new calendar.

Do we now assume that unless otherwise stated the age stipulated is Age on Day of race? Or should the race information state an operative date?

If it is a SENIOR race, the age should be on the day of the race.

If a JUNIOR race, then unless specified otherwise, age groups based on 1/1/13.

This really hasn't changed.

I thought the rules had changed for junior races in 2013, to age on day. Yikes, now I'm confused.

For juniors the FRA is only involved in MINIMUM ages for incremental race maximum distances and that is Rule 10 which is also a UKA Rule where "Age" is on day of the race. (see page 120).

Otherwise it is up to the RO. He can choose as at 1.1.13, an arbitrary date, age on day of the race or any other formula. His(her) race, his rules... but he must comply with Rule 10.

Lecky has advised that the old 1/1/13 (for next year) should be assumed for races unless they state otherwise. I'm not sure it states that anywhere, but we'll soon find out.
