Thanks for the photo link, nik. There are some good ones there. The photographer had long gone by the time I dragged myself through. I posted my belated report this evening with pictures. Happy reading all. I'm better now, by the way :)
Just got my entry in for this September event. Does anyone have the grid refs of checkpoints or a map of the route? I've gone and followed the course on the OL maps as best I can based on Steve Temple's excellent 2004 account (from the Hayfield races website) but any more information would be much appreciated! :D
I can email you the 2008 instructions to competitors - any changes for 2010 will be minor I should think. It's always been more or less the same route, give or take the odd disputed right of way. Send me your email address - I can't see any way of sending it to you without.
