Just entered the long too. Just need to make sure I arrive on time this year!
On the short route. New baby means I'll have loads of time to train
I'm doing the long event with my daughter. It'll be the longest run yet for The Tussockmaiden. Might manage to persuade her to don her Fell Pony pink.
Tempted by the short here and then Rombalds 2 weeks later.
Signed myself up as a long route runner, which is a bit optimistic after a prolonged period out with PF. The only event I managed in the whole of 2011was the first day of the Saunders (after which, and with some irony, my partner managed to injure himself and we declined setting off on day 2).
I'm sure I'll be able to drag myself around at a ploddy walk. Looking forward to it.
have entered too! and hope to do Rombalds by post tomorrow. Think I may have to give trigger a miss tho sadly.
We're in, Mrs C in for the long, and myself with the pup in the short, should be a good day out see you all there.
Looking forward to this one. In for the 22 mile run and if the weather is anything like today, it'll be great.
Try and get a few miles (and feet) in on Wednesday then upto Mytholmroyd at sparrowfart Saturday.
How are you getting there Steve? I shall be passing within a mile or two of your gaff on the way... give me a call if you could use a lift... I'll be leaving the dog at home!
Looking forward to it.
I'll text later in the week and aim to meet you where we picked you up with Gerry the other week. Sound like a plan?
Looks like I'm out of this now. Physio says I've still got a hamstring tear and need to rehabilitate it before running again.
Shame, I love The Hebden and had been looking forward to it; but I'm not totally stupid.

Anyone who has entered the Hebden but definitely can't do it should get in touch with the organisers. There is a waiting list of people longing to take your place - and you could get a deferral or maybe a refund.
Yeh, look forward to seeing you Saturday. Will be doing the half Hebden tho this year as not fit enough at the moment to race 22 (the BG legs 1 and 2 reccie next Friday is not a race, before you say anything heh heh). Also having a teetotal January so no fun for me afterwards boooooooooo
Dodgy piriformis will make me even slower, but shall fill me boots... no drink after for either as I'm driving.
See you bright and early.
Bright and early it is mate, mucho Guinness after for me as some kind person is giving me a lift there, getting home shall be tackled when the time comes, or the landlord calls it:thumbup:
Specially for RO Allan, this one's for you sir;)

Thanks Steve for the new beer song. Think your eyes might be like beer glass number 1 tomorrow after the mud has finished with you. We can control most things but not the weather. Good luck to you and all your forum mates. You are very welcome and your comments on the forum are always interesting and humorous.
Alan, short notice, but please can you offer one of the people on the reserve list a place? Richard Brooks now can't make it.
Cheers
Julie
Hi Julie,
Thanks for your notification. I'm sorry that Richard can't make it. I emailed your message to Alan and got the reply below:
"Thanks Nick. Got your message. Can you put something on the forum to confirm we shall allocate the entry to someone else. We are busy shopping and then setting up the Hall. Bring your Wellies tomorrow
The replacement is Dave Renolds friend of Fiona Johnston. Carole will email Dave with no when she gets home 9ish tonight."
Dave, this is your lucky day. I hope you can make it tomorrow.
Nick.
Won by Ben Mounsey, I am informed. (in a new record time)
Hebdens a great event to do ,thanks to organisers and helpers..........I think we got lucky with the weather its lashing it down now.
Thanks Alan and all your helper's, marshall's etc. Brave souls standing for hours in that wind. Had a run, had some beer, had a good time. Mulled wine hit the spot too. Nice to see all the usual faces, great event, 5 years on the trot now and i'll be back for more next year:thumbup:
Thanks Alan and your top team for another excellent day out.
22 Miles; the perfect apetiser for pie and peas, garnished with mint sauce, followed by a generous helping of homebaked plum crumble; served with mulled wine apperitif with and after dinner coffee. We even received at table service. Unbeatable.
Best day out for ages and we were only snapping! Pics at www.sportsunday.co.uk
We had a steady walk round the short route. Thanks to all involved including whoever made the dripping sarnies
Thank you Alan, today was my first Hebden 22 and what a fantastic day, and route. Also, a big thank you to all the marshalls who stood in the wind, and the fab folk in charge of food and drink at the church hall. Brilliant day. Aching and tired but looking forward to next year. Sarah
3rd time at "The Hebden" for me...........would just like to add my thanks to those already posted. A fantastic event, made that way by a fantastic group of people.
All the usual suspects in attendance, see you all at the next one!
Did the long. One of the hardest runs I've done. Largely lack of training. A bit fresh on the tops. Great marshals and the coconut cake at the checkpoints was bloomin lovely - many thanks to all involved. Really enjoiyed the pie and peas. I'll be back next year.
