waiting ready for the morning
got all my stuff with me just need my running partner to turn up EMMI-LOU-LOU ;)
Oh god no! Not the corps de Ponies pirouetting and pas a deuxing their way up summit again
Don't know what you mean Pengy. I'm a well rounded kind of guy with real gravitas
The Corps de Ponies, Fowler, is the Ballet Enthusiasts wing of the FRA. Do you not remember the men in tights last December (and Amex in a tutu)?
Good run. Nice weather, just a little breezy on the run in. Those bog monsters were hungry today: right up to me waist, lovely stuff!
Chilli was very nice.
good to meet Al... good luck with the knees pal.
Merry, good to see you too.
ready for me dinner now.
Mudlugger, well done!!! nice to see your home in one peice, i bet the photographers had a field day if the bogmonsters were out in force!!!
How was Al, did he complete, hope he was not in too much pain...
Well he was already home when I finished, looking good to go some more I think. I'm sure he'll tell you all soon.
Sadly, no photographers (only club ones) so didnt get any evidence but yes, it would have been a great spot for some great pix... although it was cold up top. Myabe the santa suit would have attracted them eh? lol.
Did you not make it then?
who won?? any results guys? cheers.

well i'll try & write a race report :eek::D
arrived at the summit inn about 9.20am along with Kath.
Saw that the preston bandwagon was already here!!!!
No sign of Emmi-lou-lou though
carried on into the pub to get my entry in & order my chilli & rice......
while in there bumped into merrylegs.
back out & getting ready for the race saw Al (Sore Achilles) Fowler still no Emmi she was only hiding on the minibus still hehe..
Shouted her & then we got ready to roll and off we went really enjoyed the race even though it was VERY windy in certain parts on the tops, me & Emmi kept a good steady pace going all the way round passed about 4 on the way back down to the finish..
so WELL DONE today Emmi,Al,Merry,Chris Smale & any others that i've forgot to mention.
Also well done Kath...
PS chilli went down well with a pint of guinness :p
Twas good to see everyone today.
A very boggy and windy run being so open.
Was alot on track which seemed to go on forever at times, was glad to see the finish really as my legs where rubbish today so i was struggling to keep to my pace.
Managed to find some energy for the last mile or so and managed to pick up a good few places.
Only managed 4th Preston male which i cant complain about but big credit to the women winning the womens!!!! :D(Emmi and Karen Nash + t'other woman)
Saw merry in his big thick North face coat that i was tempted to steal as it looks so warm and cosy. Stu in his vest again (not right in the head if you ask me:p), Good to meet Mudlugger (think thats how you spell it) and the same for Daztheslug and bo peep. Saw Pudgy at the start but never saw him again. And thankyou to Emmi for the everything (too long to list).
Decent race on a whole, the tracks did drag on but the bog and getting to run along the pipes was a new experience. I liked the downhill finish aswel.:D
Results.
Off the top of my head - cant remember totally.
I got 33rd.
Mudlugger sortly after me.
Merry was 72nd.
Emma 78th.
Stu 79th - Only trundled round but personally i think if he tried the course record would of been smashed.:p
Pudgy 85th.
Not sure on DaztheSlug.
Not sure if Egor was there.
Thankyou Stringman for a good race as usual. You even arranged the sun to come out at just the right moment.:)
Nice to see everyone.
I met DaztheSlug and the infamous Merrylegs, both for the first time so that was a bonus.
Can't see Emm on that pic? No ones wearing pink!
Much as I wanted to be there I couldn't face the trip having spent 6 hours driving to / from Kings Lynn on Friday.
No comment about the knees or any injuries what so ever - i seemed to get the mick taken out of me a plenty because of my ailments (spelling) from everyone so i shall remain silent.
Merry is the short-arse stood next to me in the black jacket and sheep hat. :D
i was there, cant say i enjoyed it, hangover and tired legs dont race well, not sure position, just behind a women with reddish hair and bloke in yellow vest i think
