Anyone else doing this old classic?
I'll be there, enjoyed it last year
Easter again, another trip around the pike.
Last half dozen will be a good result.
Affirmative.
Same pace as Ogden.
Fancy a potter round?
I'm marshalling the Pike. See thi on top, maybe thod photo too.
Count me in.
I shall be there as usual. And my daughter Diane is running again. Hopefully I can keeep in front of her but she is getting faster all the time. See you at the top Mark.
Well, that was a blast:eek:. There seemed to be more tarmac than there was last time I did it in 1999. It took me 3 mins longer too.
It was good to see the route lined with spectators all the way to the pike ~ a good day out for runners, marshals and spectators alike.
Rumour has it, the summit Marshall and photographers drove up in a car
Thanks to all for a good afternoon out.

Great Photo Andy
Can't believe there has been nothing on this thread for 2 years on an iconic fell race.
I'm off to watch. Legs papped today after a 4 mile run and 14 mile walk yesterday topping 2000ft.
But young WPette is having her first race since having her youngster 7 months ago, her first race since Jan 2017.
I'm baby-sitting.
Best place for me now :D
She was first lady to the pike in 2011 at the age of 17 the day after the Salford 10km, just getting caught on the decent by two internationals to finish 3rd.
She'll probably be 5 minutes slower today, but it'll be nice to see her and everyone else compete today.
was thinking about running it, then thought about the bank holiday traffic.....
Good time by the winner Michael Cayton. He was second to the top behind Haworth of Matlock. Only nine Men running under 20 minutes. Sarah McCormack first lady and eleventh overall in a very fast 20.11.She was shifting! Must be comparable to Greenwood's record given changes to course.
Photos from this years race are here with more to follow:
