Glad to be back home after a weeks camping in FLAT CENTRAL FRANCE:mad: Good holiday, but missed them hills. Today's Training: Walked up two flights of stairs lots of times and quite enjoyed it:D
Driven 1200 miles and would rather have ran it:eek:
Only time for a short 4 mile road run this afternoon in really warm humid conditions.
Well now that I'm no longer a cripple, I've run three times this week. A georgeous 9 miles around Pen y Ghent, Plover Hill, Foxup Moor and whatnot on Sunday morning, about 5 miles on Tuesday in the hills above Settle and then a 3 mile road run around 'beautiful' Castleford last night. Good news is I can run. The bad news is that my speed has spod away.
Hour steady run this afternoon in the sun. Sweated out the worst of last night's curry and Belgium beer excess
9.5 miles from home this afternoon in sunshine - plenty of puddles on towpath & Bramley Fall Woods sections. Plenty of nettles on other sections :(!!
Good to get a longish (by my recent standards) run in.
Couple of 6 miles trots up Hameldon and moors & tracks thereabouts this weekend. Very clear looking from the trig, great view north beyond Pendle up to the Dales - 2 of the 3 three peaks visible either side of Pendle.
Another short 4 mile cross country run this afternoon
7 mile on and around Otley Chevin -did the steps this week!!:)
Yesterday 5.5miles and around 1500ft of ascent Bowland fells.
Today steady sedburgh hills recce, nice weather for running mainly cloudy but above tops with steady breeze. We met the howgill buzzard, which actually dived at me twice. Should be interesting in a fortnight lot more people to dive at:rolleyes:
Rare pre-breakfast run out down at Bolton Abbey this morning. Out for about an hour. Nice and cool in the drizzle!
Friday 91km cycling (20 to work, the rest after)
Sat 68min canal run, left home at 6:30am, great way to start the day. Evening wanted to swim but I knew my wife was not so keen to see me going so didn't try to ...
Sunday Errwood Res. to Shining Tor 5 times in 3 hours. Needs all the hills I can get before Jungfrau Marathon 6th Sept. Did it in road shoes, were perfect, but I guess only because it was dry.
Evening easy swimming.
I wonder why my wife complains saying I do too much sport ?
couple of miles legs arn't to bad considering borrowdale
Nice short 4 mile road run this afternoon around the lanes of Cronton.
Saddleworth - Greenfield - Plantation - Top Res - Wimberry - Alphin - Greenfield...Use of HRM trying to keep HR between 60- 70%, nice and easy does it....glorified stumble really - sat here typing this and my legs are crying out for tomorrows speed/hill session :D....Great evening out on't tops!
65 minutes over Scout Scar. Beautiful evening views of the Howgills, the Lakes and Morecambe Bay.

5.5 miles (45 mins) road, footpaths, fieldpaths, towpath. Lovely and wet out there:D.
Easy 4 after a long stretch to try and shift the pebble size bump in my achilese (?) from the skating over Scafell Pike. Felt ok, not sure if I'll go out with the club tomorrow though.
Jason
8.25 mile across Pex Hill and Sutton Manor with Sinatra tonight. Very warm with a bit of drizzle nice run tonight.

Loads of blokes your age can't do what you do:p In fact quite a few teenagers can't do what you do. Your on the comeback trail and that ain't crap;)
Last night and this morning's training: 4m hilly trail run to work, 8 hour night shift (Nights are crap) 4m hilly trail run home in rain. First time i've run both ways on nights, the run home was like the last 4m of the Duddon Valley:eek:
Very satisfying shower and pot of tea, then bed zzzzzzzzzzzzzz:cool:
Another 5.5 miler - Rodley-Newlay circular plus some in BF woods - so a slightly shortened version of the Aire Valley Challenge route!!
7 miles on the treadmill again. I think it maybe time to get back outdoors
Not me unless it was a very late or leisurely lunch:cool: - I was out about 5.45pm but did run past the Barge along the towpath.
Not been to the Barge once since I moved here - went to the Owl opposite the Barge on Tues night but tend to wander down to the Abbey by Newlay Bridge & meet friends from Horsforth.

As the saying goes "I'd rather be unfit than unhealthy".
65 mins (about 7+ miles) up on Chevin/Danefield. What a difference a fortnight makes - 2 weeks ago was so hot & dry up there I taking water every 15 mins, today I was just splashing through water - loved it!!:D
7 miles over the Humber bridge this morning. Made a change although the weather was no different from Accy! Wet Wet Wet
Think we all had it wet yesterday, I certainly did as I weaved my way through Thetford Forest for 8 miles.
