If you can Amex - be at the checkpoint at the bottom of Geronimo (Checkpoint 4 ?)- that way you'll not only be able to see various downhill techniques in action but some time later you will see all our cheerful faces approaching from the opposite direction & finally you may be partnered with 1 of the legends of Fell running.

Is this race worth a trip?

Seems a bit tortuous....

Also are maps available at registration? or will I have to buy an OS map there..

If I remember rightly you don't get a map at registration but there is one available on Clayton le Moors web site if you have a look for the Tour of Pendle, if you can't find it I could email you one Iain.

It's worth a trip, good quality race, plenty of climbing.

Is anyone doing this that could pick up a headtorch from Mark Horrocks for me and then pass on to me either that night if they are going to the FRA dinner or who lives or works near Horwich-Manchester and I could pick up from them some time next week.
