A steady 3 mile with 750' of climb, got a sweat on in the rain.
8.4 miles 1350' climb taking in Top of Pike then back down round the reservoirs and climb up to Dixon's Brow, joining the Rochdale Way and returning via Forsyth Brow.
I was born and raised in Lincs and lived in Scampton and Saxilby. I used to train on the Edge; this usually involved cycling/runnig or drivign from home to Burton then running frmo there. Managed to get some really good hill rep sessions in. As I recall, the South Common was ok as well. Live down south now - so further still from real mountains but we have the Downs. Enjoy.
8 miles xc with the hound, mostly flat at a reasonble pace. The pint of Tribute slipped down a treat afterwards ...
5.3 miles with a whopping 104.7ft of climbing. Now time to eat, drink and be grumpy!
