A workmate, Dave Lancaster, played for Chesterfield and scored 2 goals against Liverpool in a cup game. He was marked that night by Mark Wright.... he loves talking about it, good on him.

And here he is Darren, turns out he played for Alf's boys as well
Nice one Richard, after he stopped playing professional football he started working on building sites after doing a bricklaying course. Dave did the site work for about 2 yrs then got his old job back at British Aerospace, he's a toolmaker by trade. Dave's a cracking bloke, proper good laugh. He gives me loads of stick about my scruffy appearance and quite often asks if I've wasted my weekend running up a f**king mountain, he just doesn't get it. He's well into fishing, which I don't get.....and he still plays five a side.
What will England's excuses be against Chile?
Anyone wish to pre-empt what might be said this time?
Not sure if he played for Morecambe in his younger days, that would be before the 'wreckage of Colne Dynamos' as it puts it in the article. About 25 years ago Chalkie White, a business man from Colne launched a money no object project to get Dynamos into the League, they seemed to sign everyone in sight to full time contracts including European Cup winner Alan Kennedy, won a couple of promotions in the lower leagues but when they got as far as the Conference it all went tits up, the money ran out, the team folded and Chalkie disappeared.
Ask Dave about those days and if he knows what happened to Chalkie
I think Suarez should get his teeth straightened and pushed back a bit as he keeps catching them on the opposition
What is wrong with Suarez? What a way to behave - not once, but repeatedly. He needs help.
Cesare Prandelli to resign after Italy's exit despite the fact he got them to the Euro final in 2012. He got the tactics wrong he says in the World Cup. Its good to see there are still managers of principle around
Liverpool have announced their plans for the handling of Suarez next season

Hi Richard
I have spoken to Dave today and he said the last he saw of Chalkie was when he walked into the changing rooms at Colne and said he was pulling out. He's not heard or seen anything of him since. Dave did say the 2 seasons he played for Morecambe where some of the most enjoyable days he had in football, he loved the place.
Suarez banned from all football for 4 months, with the close season though he will only miss the first nine Premier League matches, that's unless he has f**ked off to Spain by then
Very enjoyable match between Belgium and USA tonight apart from that little s*** Danny Murphy doing the commentary. A good goal by Prince Harry playing at number 7 for Belgium. His dad, whoever he is, will be proud of him
Bye bye Costa Rica and thanks for the memories.
Its just like watching Brazil
Shirts like Dennis the Menace, merciless as Gnasher.
Tonight match was played at Little Big Horn
Indians 7 Custer 1
massacre...
I wonder what odds you could have got on that...?
It was lovely to see a team get thrashed and it wasn't Arsenal. It reminded me of games vs man utd, man city, Liverpool, Chelsea etc, though this time I actually enjoyed the slaughter!!
I see Leeds took on tricky opponents tonight in a friendly in Italy. Squeezed past them 16-0. Really, was there any point ?
It reminded me a lot of the 8-2 game.. we actually had one of those days where every shot went in.. comical defending made it seem a lot more one sided than it was.
Brazil had just as many chances, more possession, yet Germany scored 7 from something like 13 shots.. Brazil had 15 or so..
Belgium had 30 shots against the USA and scored 2 and dominated possession. Just the US defended well and didn't make mistakes..
Schurle's goal was a disgrace… decent hit but nothing special, most goals brazil had plenty back, just no organisation, just like a pub team.
