Fantastic day out running today. Recce'd some of the Osmotherley Phoenix along the Cleveland Way, cracking views across to the snow-capped Dales, and across the moors to the North Sea.
Pretty much a trail run, all runnable, but very enjoyable. Racked up 20 miles of the route in some time over 3 hours, not really sure. :)
Did the Winter Handicap at the club. (5.25m 1000ft)
The man himself (turbo tom) set off with me as a pacer and a guide. He went well on the climbs then saw a couple of lady runners. Decided he looked better with his top off and that was the last I saw of him, until the pub.
He had paid for Fish and Chips and there were mountains of FREE sandwiches. Poor students?????
Nice to see him back running though.
I pity Brit Nick who has the pleasure of this fine young man for the Pennine Relays.
Steady chug up to High Sweden Bridge above Ambleside. Lovely day, lots of walkers. Back home to find 5 kids playing trainset in the sitting room.

5th marathon or greater distance run this month, looking forward to a week of easy runs next week.
10 miles over a very boggy, snowy Rombalds moor testing out the pulled calf, held up ok so seems I'll be fit for Wadsworth.
It took a looong time, we where only averaging about 4.5-5mph, my legs started to break down last week from the sudden jump in training so this was always going to be a long day out. We even stopped and cooked lunch, no snow where we ran today although a reasonable amount in the highlands.
I doubt there'll be much destroying going on, not with all that reccying for a little run out in Wales youve been doing! :D
3 and a half hours and 3500 ft climbing up and down the hills around Etherow Country Park.
Fancied Kinder but the snow put me off.
