Did the Calder Valley club handicap, half with Stagger and then pushed on a bit and tested myself....5.5 miles in 53 minutes or therabouts
And then went to the gym when I got back, 1000m row, 10 minutes on the bike, weights and core work

10 miles this evening. Then out again in the morning to recce the Heptonstall race route (goes off at 9am from Weavers Square in Heptonstall itself if anyone fancies it for tomorrow's training.)
11-12 mile-ish 2000ft up and over cutgate after chaseing rodders most of the way up, bumped in to some Soreen eater and some Notts tri club on a HPM reccie, Looked hard work along Howden.
We roughly followed the Straddle route but cut up to high rock through deep snow. nice run back, sat in front of the fire now chilling.
total for the week will be about 45 miles and 7,000, thats the target to beat next week, lets hope theres not too much snow.

Stopped to enjoy the views and do some dry stone walling.
Baildon over to Ilkley via the Rombalds Stride Route & along to Burley. 9.61 miles, 1296 ft of climbing, 946 cals burned, 8.56 avg. minute mileing, 1.25 mins (courtesy of the Endomondo iphone app !!). Great day for running, cold & no wind. Plenty of bogs to slow people down on Saturday.
12 miles over Scout Scar and Cunswick fell. Felt great.
Saturday 5 * 1k reps, good session
Approx 9.5 mile cycle into work this morning (same home again later on obviously). Could really feel it in my quads after yesterday's Heptonstall recce!
Ended up doing a further 7 miles or so to pick up my car from having its brakes fixed. My bum isn't used to bike saddles!!! :w00t:
4.4 miles with the dog this morning, mainly on towpaths. My legs, too, are still trashed after that recce. Lovely day here though: hard frost & blue sky.
Cold but pretty clear between Todmorden and Brierfield - lovely views over the snow dusted hills.
