Lou Reed stuff today. Walked (yes walked) from Langdale up the band to Bowfell. Weather at top was awful, poor vis and strong winds. Weather continued in much same vane as we wandered over to Esk Pike (still a good amount of snow above 700m). After a few moments of soul searching at Esk Hause we decided to go for Scafell P. Couldn't see damned all on Great End and wind was still strong. And then, as if by magic, (dear reader, you guessed it!) a curtain was drawn aside. Suddenly, the way was clear, and we continued up to Scafell P with astonishing views all around. It stayed like this for the remainder of the day Descent was via Corridor Route, back to Esk Hause, continued to Angle Tarn and finally beer in Dungeon Gill. Perfect Day!!!
