Especially if they try to defend him, which is pathetic to be honest!

To be fair to the Oracle, other than that very last sentence, he has not even mentioned Cummings, let alone defended him!
The thing is fellbeast, we've all had 3 months training in hygiene, distancing and shielding. So the necessary groups could continue with that whilst everyone gets on with living. The oft quoted R number becomes irrelevant then.
I agree and I'm a Brexiteer. I think the BFC (Boris Fan Club: Muddy, Oracle and Witton) have decided to suspend all rational judgement on the Cummings fiasco. But here's the thing. If you don't tell it like it is ALL the time people stop taking you seriously.
All this droning on about the police not charging him, as if that shows his story was honest. Listen BFC we saw Cummings on TV and it was a cock and bull story. He wanted to go North to get away from London for a break. That's it. He broke the rules. If he'd admitted it I would have felt the same way as I did when Barry Gardiner broke the rules. Which is 'he did the wrong thing in the eyes of the law but at least he doesn't hide his true motives to people, many of whom were on his side.'
As for Boris he's out of his depth and I don't just say that because of Covid. Witton had it right when he said the government looked inept at times and put it down to them having to change position to suit everyone.
But the thing is groups only play the government off because the Tory's have no principles. What the hell does Boris believe in? Nobody has a clue. Does he believe in Brexit? I have no idea I'm just hoping for the best and expecting the worst. This is it with middle of the road politics. You can be easily run over when you sit in the middle of the road. Any old banger can bump into you and force you to move.
P.S I wish him well.
Well here’s one hot off the press https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...s-in-18-months
The only BFC I am at the moment is the Clarets and it would be great to see them get something at City on Monday.
You want to chuck that accusation at me, I was supportive of Stephen Kinnock when he visited his Dad and sat outside in the back garden.
You'll be accusing me of embracing all things Remain next and you've just highlighted how I described them as appearing inept.
There was an initial hysteria end March that had many people in my Facebook world going bonkers.
I had one pointing the finger at people driving 5-10 minutes to Witton Park to walk their dog with the usual "Stay Home, follow the rules, you can't drive for exercise...." but they couldn't show where it said you couldn't drive for exercise.
and that same person was going out for a long run, going home, and then taking the dog out for over an hours walk.
So I showed the one form of exercise a day info.
It went down well :D
I was alongside a farmer up Tockholes one day as he saw 2 youths walking across a field that was off public paths - he played hell with them to come back and stick to the paths.
We had a friendly exchange about the number of people about, and he finished by saying that no one should be out for more than 20 minutes and they shouldn't be up Tockholes unless they lived there.
I advised him that there wasn't a time limit.
We then had the CPS advise to the police confirming you could drive for exercise and that there was no cap on the time you could go out for exercise.
The public debate seemed to then settle down.
The general population has become more soppy. More reliant on clear does and don'ts. Everything now requires a bullet point list of FAQs to try and help the poor mites decide what course of action they need to take in every situation they might encounter during their day.
Personal responsibility and the ability to self assess based on the information at hand as gone out the window.
So far from being a BFC, I'm just a straight forward person who assesses the guidance and makes a judgement. Others can make their judgement.
According to More or Less on the BBC this week the top 5 current rate of infection European leader board (as opposed to past or total infections) is Sweden, UK, Portugal, Italy, Belgium. So the order has moved around a bit. The UK is 7th in the world, behind 4 South American countries, Sweden, and Saudi Arabia. This is per head of population. Brazil is number 1.
