Back home and after a trip to A&E yesterday my wrist is okay
Fell about 20ft on the top of Catbells and landed badly. Lost my watch which is a slver seiko one that ive had since i was 17.
Geoff has rang me and said that someone has handed it in.
A great race and much thanks to Purpleplodder for pulling me round as i was fading fast.
Lost the plot at Catbells and my legs just went from under me.
Didnt realise Id lost my watch until id got to the bottom of the descent. I actually landed on a walker:eek:. Said sorry and then the adrenalin kicked in and off i went.
Great race Wynn and Steve and thanks to all the helpers and Marshalls.
Lucky to get the watch back Daz.
Pleased to hear your wrist is OK:)

Agreed! I'm assuming it was the same person, I didn't see the incident myself. I was heading down from Catbells when she asked if I was part of the race. I said no, but I was taking photos and was heading back down to the race centre so she asked me to hand it in.
Given she got clattered by Daz I'm surprised she wasn't complaining. Maybe Daz worked his charm on her :p It was a good job the race hadn't started earlier, the summit of Catbells was heaving with about 100 people until maybe twenty minutes before the leaders started coming through.
