It's by Lu Yu, who lived from c AD 733 to 804, and was respected as the "Sage of Tea" for his contribution to Chinese tea culture. Apparently, he is best known for his book The Classic of Tea, the first definitive work on cultivating, making and drinking tea :cool:

Thanks for this DT, i have a lovely second hand book of chinese poetry (by penguin i think), it has some really old poetry like this...i find it so evocative and romantic...i wonder if they sell anything like that where you are ( i mean translated into english)....:)

Sadly many of these trips overseas are pretty full on with little time for much more than work and bed but I'll have a look round if I get chance. I noticed there is a book shop in the airport ;)
