Re: Tonight's football thread
Ah, the return of live football this Friday night.
Could be in a minority of one on this forum.
It's Cork City FC v Drogheda United...
The hum of generators powering the chip vans, the groans of disappointment from the crowd, the cursory glance at the programme while pouring over the fanzine, the abuse of the ref, the kids with the drums and edgy chants, the stand up/sit down/jump routines...the bit of football...you can't beat it...

We have a chance.. parents were there and said we were lucky at 2-3..
But we go there with no doubt in what we have to do so its not all over by a long shot.. but conceding 3 at home..
This is no vintage United team, but we are sticking in there.. it's a strangely good season to watch.. I'm enjoying this more than when we won the league by 15-20 points tbf.. I may not be come May mind..

Why do team try their best to get into europe then play crap or field understrength sides to get out of europe?

It's UEFA.. we want to win it, but the league is priority for sure.. I think City feel the same, both of us would rather win the league than UEFA, but we'll try to do both without overly affecting our league programme.. which was why Ferdinand was rested...
Company out now, who was missed during his ban... so you can see why they don't take risks...

Aaaaaaaaaaaah FECK!
Turners Cross rocking with over 4,000 turning up, City up 2-0 on a lovely evening for football.
Sadly, managed to lose 3-2, ending up with 10 men. And the streaker was a man in y fronts.

The reason utd are crap in Europe this year, is because they are having to put so much effort into keeping up with us in the Prem. :w00t:
