Crinkle Crags today, up via Red Tarn, down via The Band. Lots of hard snow/ice above the level of Red Tarn - microspikes were excellent. I did not meet many people but most of those I did didn't have crampons of any sort - it was quicker/easier/safer with them.

I thought we would miss the snow according to the weather forecast but we have had a couple of inches overnight and this morning here in North Manchester.

Approximately 4 inches here in Grassington and looking forward to a run in the snow this afternoon :thumbup:

Plenty here in Harrogate but it is starting to melt and I havent been out in it yet, not fair work always gets in the way of fun.:thunbdown:

lots of snow when I was driving my mum to York train station but, disappointingly, it stopped before my run this afternoon. There is a bit on the ground in Masham but not enough for my liking!:)

Remember crampons tomorrow mark as you will need them on the higher ground no dowt
