A few of us from KCAC were out on tuesday night, not on a recce but in that general area. Amazing how much warmer it was down near the tarn, compared to up by Keighley Gate!

Another great Jack Bloor race. Plenty of different routes, even from those right at the front, with varying success. One year I'll work out which way is quickest. Thought the new flags going across to the trig point made it quite a bit faster, though I still would have preferred the mud/bog that they now lay on.
Thanks to the marshals for a great race, have already enjoyed the free bottle of beer given to all finishers :)

I enjoyed it lots. Just enjoying the Jack Bloor beer now!
Really enjoyed my first hill race for a few months after all the marathon training so I was pretty pleased despite huffing and puffing up the first incline. Loved the decent to the finish but a recce is probably in order to find the better lines from the crag.
The beer at the end was a good touch. can't figure out what it is tho, probably Ilkley Pale.
good to briefly meet Fozzy - good run on 1 and a half lungs!
The beer is Jubilee. a limited run to celebrate the aforementioned.
my inner beer geek wouldn't let it go, so I had to email the brewery.
My beer is waiting for friday evening!
Also good to meet you last night SFG!
Shame my race was a bit crap. Got stitch about 500m into that first climb and it was like running with only half a lung for the rest of the race. Managed to salvage some pride and a few places with a decent run across the slabs on the top and then down the descent. Still not as quick as I'd have liked though.
Next year!
