Cool! Do we think there is any merit in entering a forum team, or God forbid, a Fell Ponies team? :D

Looks as though I have an entry as well - first time!!
Unacceptable Trilathon... We have someone in my old club who does this all the time, both in road races and TT's... I have actually made an official complaint about her being suppoorted by a car in a TT... as I really can't condone that sort of behaviour. Am I being too fickle? The club seems to think so... Mind, I have since left anyway, as I can't be a member of a club that condones and actually encourages structural cheating in races...

I thought so too, but am being slated and my name dragged through the mud for it... Ah well, I always liked being muddy ;) Better muddy than a cheat!
See sales section of forum if you need quality 3PX bike and bits last minute!
Enjoy yourselves folks! Kinda sorry I won't be there now. Hope you get the weather and stay puncture free :)
From 3 Peaks site:
This is great news from SPORTident:

Are you riding this time fishbulb? :)
I shall be marshalling at Ingleton, say hello!
I'm in for this one, first time on the start line and can't wait although a bit nervous about doing something wrong and getting a bo**ocking from all the cyclists, they're so uptight ;o)
Only ever done 1 cyclo-X race plus Harriers/Cyclists, but hoping a load of MTB'ing has got my eye in on the descents. Been running well this year so hopefully the ascents will be ok, although i'm a skinny weakling so bike might be too heavy ;o)
Have a good race everyone.
Glad I didn't enter this time otherwise I'd be suin' the kind soul ("R" type) who gave me their cold (see Thievely Pike post).
I did the double last year...Scafell Pike on Sat/3PCX on Sun...not a great combo!
I have ridden the race many times durin' the 90's so I know 'ow tough it is.
Instead I'm ganna try 'n do a film of the event. So if any forumites spot a knackered owd tup carryin' a camcorder/tripod instead of pushbike then do gi'me a nod .
Hope to be somewhere high up on the first major climb (carry) then movin' on to Ingleborough. After that I'll try and get somewhere high up on Pen-Y-Ghent.
wharfee's tip..."Save some for Ghent!"
Have a good un lads n lass's see you all on the start line or sat night if your camping
I am with Antisocial... dreading it somewaht as no training done of any merit for this and my cycling has gone to pot after the track champs end of July... Just got to count on the gritted teeth and determination to get through this me thinks!
Chevin... It was my first last year and I had never done cross before or ridden a bike off road and I was fine... slow but fine, I am sure you will do well :)
I will be wearing Cardiff Ajax CC kit, like below, so give me a shout when you see me crawling around... I will need some encouragement :)

Good luck one and all, hoping to be around Chapel le Dale and up whernside with the dog, to watch you all suffer, sorry, enjoy yourselves:thumbup:
Ditto'd from me.
I'll be stuck in A&E in the morning whilst it's starting, seeing the remainder of the inebriates who think it's been a good night if they've... been arrested/thrown up on themselves/p*ssed themselves/got beaten to a pulp/etc......
Good luck to everyone there
I hope to see some of the 'survivors' next Sunday at Temple Newsam? (Vets @ 12:45)

Never made it today, manflu got the better of me, had it in my head it was a 10.30 start and it started at 9.30 so would have missed the start anyway.
Well done done Rob Jebb, winner by 5mins over last year's winner Nick Craig.
Well done everyone else as well:thumbup:
Great day for filmin' the action. Should be a vid out in 2 or 3 days.
I was up on Ingleborough and the surrounds running with the pooch this morning and timed coming off Park Fell and on to Simon Fell perfectly, just as the race leaders came into view. I was running parallel with a few of them, albeit on the other side of the wall, and 'ran' up Ingleborough to get to the dibber point with maybe a dozen race leaders in front of me. I was well impressed how far up that last climb up Ingleborough a few of them could get while still pedalling :)
We joined the race until it branched off on Little Ingleborough with me and Harry running in the bogs and ditches to the side to avoid getting in anyone's way.

Just got back - absolutely sh@gged but what a great race! Saw Hanneke at the start and Derby Tup spectating. Had a quick word with Anti Social on Whernside. Owd age is catching up with me as I was 5 minutes slower this year.
Good to see you today fishbulb
Marvin looked to be having a good ride on debut and plenty of other forumites were out and about, riding or supporting
Cracking day for it ! Looking forward to wharfee's film no end
A great day out as ever, although I seem to have missed more forumites than I managed to meet.
Well done all, and commiserations Han. There's always next year if you stop poncing around on the track...
Results are up,

First time today and not sure I could have picked a better day for it. I had an absoluute ball and had a grin on my face the whole way round, what a truly amazing event. Superbly organised, thanks to all the marshalls, and Roger Ingham for that unmistakeable Yorkshire welcome at the finish line.
Can't wait for next year, can I enter yet? ;o)
Buzzing!!!
What happened to Han?
I'd like to have been a bit quicker, but a flat on the way back through Horton put paid to a sub 5 hour finish. Maybe a bit more cycling would be a good idea before next year. But what a great event. I particularly enjoyed the descent from Ingleborough.
Good to see the forumites around the course.
Great pic Ady, look forward to the rest.
Great effort by Jebby to say he was injured around Borrowdale time:thumbup:
THE BELGIANS ARE COMING - no idea who they are but I like their outfit:

Todays pics uploading to Sportsunday this evening. I took 1000 and a couple of other peeps doing for SS took similar. Managed to capture a few forumites.
One of em was that there Fishboonen from Darwen.
'Tis true. A very slow Belgian!
Never saw you Ady - hope you saw me! I was in the original black Belgians shirt.
