Can't believe that those who are doing predictions have not mentioned the Wharfedale lot. Most of their athletes have had a cracking season, the could easily be dark horses to do very well. I don't think they will win but possible podium and upset a few more 'illustrious' fell teams. Good luck to them all, hope they do well!!!

i am starting to worry. i am on leg3 and that is not marked. eeek!!

Really great event today, superbly organised by Eryri who triumphed despite some less than favourable weather conditions. Big thanks to all the marshals who spent hours on the hills on rain and strong winds.
Found the nav leg pretty hard going on very soft, wet terrain, and a fair bit longer time than in previous years, but enjoyed being able to spend time in the hills.
Big congratulations to Dark Peak with some excellent strength in depth coming home 1st and 3rd in the open and 3rd in the vets, incredible run from Oli and Lloyd to win nav leg by over 5mins. Also to HBT women for retaining their title.

many thanks to the organisers and marshals for a great day out. Love the FRAs, great atmosphere even with the weather (thankfully I was keeping warm out on the hill for the worst of it!)

Now I'm within striking distance, I'll be in Snowdonia a lot more often!

Positive feedback, a couple more toilets next time. Car park first class, start/finish area great, Course's good but nav leg a little too long.
All in all a first class day cheers to Math Roberts and the lads and lasses.

Agree Stagger all really good except shortage of toilets and that Nav leg was tough. It was like 4 times up and down Whernside PPP route from Ribblehead :D

Big thanks to all the marshalls out there. All the Blackburn runners really appreciated the support and their efforts today.

I agree with the toilets, but would say the Nav leg well and truly blew the race for the top ~15 positions apart! Then again I am a bit biased ;)

Eryri top team did very well, not sure on place though. Mdc came in 18th with mynydd du close behind

That was just a great day, great organisation and a brilliant venue. I was so pleased to do something I have never acheived before and that is medal. My team came third in the M50's. After all the training and effort we came in third and duly went up to collect our bronze medals and received a bag of jelly babies and no medal. Nor did 2nd place Helm Hill. I know UKA deam V50s as not worthy of getting medals and would probably consider jelly babies as just reward, but come on FRA or Eryri as organisers. You could buy 12 more coins for us V50s or even charge the winning clubs for them. Deflating is too soft a term for this and I challenge The FRA or Eryri to retrospectvely award us the medals we fought for and deserved today.

Kristian Jones, Swansea Boy and donut botherer. 16th in World Orienteering champs sprint this year (Murray Strain was 9th for comparison). Silver medal in Sprint at Junior World Orienteering Championships in 2010, Gold in sprint at European Junior champs in 2010, broke the 19 year old Castleton race record earlier in the year.
