Disaster.......... of the potential nipple bleeding chaffage kind. My vaseline tub is empty :( and I can't think of any vaseline shops between here and Barley.
I may be on the scrounge.
I am looking over Pendle - or would be if I could see it! Wrap up well it's wet and windy.
I'll be there with a camera today. I'm aiming to get everybodys Geronimo descent but haven't got time to get the last climb too. (Got to go and pick up the kids at 2.)
It's grim in Rossendale, much the same in Pendle i should think!
Enjoy today folks, have a good run and keep an eye on Daz;)
Well that was fun.................... I think
you were just in front of me Merry, good to see you still smiling at the finish.
Its a bugger that one but always glad to do it.
I'm happy as I managed to hold off the Cs, that is until I tried to get in bloody car. Acha wawa!!
Good to see stolly back to his usual fitness level too, I couldnt catch the orange kagool he had on.
Saw lots of other forumites too: think I saw Emmi on first climb up the road, Manhar, disco Stan at start and I also ran a while with Southern Softie.
Weather was good but still took me an extra minute on last year??
All in all, a beast of a race, well organised and always get some of the best T-shirts eh.
Tour photos coming soon... yes that was me at the bottom of Geronimo. Stayed 'til the last man came through but didn't have time to stay for the finish - had to go and pick up the kids.
Best slide of the day goes to Ady!!;)
Back home refuelling myself - long races always make me feel as though I could eat a rabid dog.
Anyway Thank you to Kieran & his marshalls for an excellent day/ route. Did think my legs were going to refuse to move on that last climb but managed to find something once on top & dug in past the Trig & all the way home.
Apologies to the marshall at checkpoint 2 for the dive where my head nearly went into the bucket rather than the disc.
Good turnout of forumites - had my ass kicked by Daleside again - she's really flying at the mo'
Pictures now on here:

Apologies for the poor quality of some of them - the camera was borrowed and I wasn't used to it. Didn't have a long lens either but the pics were either 8.2Mpxl or 4.1Mpxl so you should be able to zoom in a bit.
Anyway, that's it with the excuses. If you want copies of any then PM me with the picture numbers and your email address.
I like the set of pic's of ady sliding down, down, down and down :D............i see Daz H couldnt keep his vest on again

Best slide of the day!
GERONIMO!!!!!!!
There was plenty of yardage in that too. See how controlled it was though!!
Anybody know who this is and what has happened?
Ooowwww! Did I make the 2.5hr Stagger? Did I 'eck as like! Still, pleased with 3h44.
Had a great time (?!) and good to meet some of you.
Can't believe you didn't make your target Ady given that slide! Impressive.
So, what colour was the T-shirt this year then?
Sorry to have missed it this time as I've run it the last two years. Hope everyone had a super day. :)
Red. And very nice they were too!
Having seen the photo's and considering what a perfect day it was today for it, I am now even more jealous!
I had to ride my sulky mood out of my system on the bike in stead... well, at least I was out and about for a few hours, which is better than nothing...
Photo 19. The guy with race number '214'. Is he on the forum....i saw him at Roaches and wondered then....so i wonder again....
Pic 12 race no. 189 is me. Was hoping for 3hrs this year, still faster than last year though by six minutes so that'll do for me.
