Maybe we could raise a team for some relays next year ??;)

Oh, and a chip butty.;)
Lots of fell pony entries for tour of pendle today.
Twasn't me mate, I was at home watching the darts!!!:D
Nice to meet some of the ponies yesterday and well done to all.
The post run beer soothed some of the aches and pains (thanks Mr C).
I feel more of a pit pony today :( the old legs are a bit sore.
Yes nice to meet the other ponies yesterday and give the vest it's first outing - sorry it was such a disaster:(
Couldn't face the pub guys this lame little filly needed to go home and feel sorry for herself - home you had a shandy or too fo me:o
I'll try for a clear round next time and maybe plait the forelock - t'was giving me some vision concerns when the wind kept whipping it in my face:eek:
nice to meet stable at last wasnt it a grand day out. missed the beer at the end though couldnt see any ponies to tag onto, maybe next time. hope your ok emilou and on the mend. there were some good times from the ponies esp. the sub 3's welldone all.:)
Old Un - you doing Dave Staff next weekend??
Who's trotting out for that one?
I'll be there providing I get the all clear from the vetinary's!
Will start taking the bute now then and will be 'sound' again soon as:D
Hey up Mr Crumbly.....just been running around your local hills with Fellmonster....it was bloody snowing!
dont worry about it crumblydown ,it saved me having to put my hand in my pocket in the pub, next time for sure. i dont know the dave staff emilou ,im fairly new to this hill running lark cos we dont have any around here,i'll look it up but i've got a dist. run next week so its doubtful but thanks for asking.just put my roast in and sat waiting to eat my way to recovery :)
Yes it was good to meet up with a few of the stable, and the weather was kind to us. It was a shame one had to go home lame and Old un missed the pub:( , but there will be other chances.I think we were all impressed with the Modified vest of one filly:) ,pity she did not get that cake baked.I did offer her a blueberry muffin but she was too late as the fludge stepped in and scoffed the lot:eek: .
I had a quick look on Clayton-le-moors site and saw an action shot of Amex cantering accross the fell smiling, more than what he was doing at the end, still the warm pub put a smile on his face, or was it because he was sat next to the Master.
The Fludge, Stolly and myself had a great cat and mouse event, heres to more days like that on the fells. Thanks to Mr Crumbly for his backpack duties and his eternal words of encouragement Hope to see you all soon.
Could someone settle my curiousity and tell me which pony came in close to me at Pendle yesterday. Around 3hours 4 minutes, I was going to introduce my self but could not find him afterwards.
Cheers
Jamie
Oh by the way thanks for supporting the David staff race next weekend. I wont be around but its our club event.
anyway..........
It was good to meet the legendary ponies on Sat. A bunch of friendly odd bods mixed together with one common interest - fell running!
'twas a strange experience in a Fell Pony vest too, within minutes of it being donned by my grand physique someone accosted me in the car park to introduce themselves and there were lots smiles and nods of recognition for the vest during and after the race. The vest does kind of carry a strange aura that people seem to like, well done to all Ponies - keep it up!
Was a top race, good pint after and good to meet so many new faces.
No I have met sluggard, this chap had grey spikey hair.
I met you at the Darwen gala race Master, but I'm afraid I cant remember what you look like. I was to busy concentrating that day. If I walk past you at a race without speaking then Im not being ignorant just bad memory.
Did you run yesterday??/
Tis all about the vest Potto....and attitude!
We had a good idea on the way back....if people want to join but dont want to fork out for a vest then they are more than welcome to race in home-made ones. Just cut the arms of a t-shirt and write Fell Ponies on the front with a felt tip and hey presto!
In fact, the more i think about it, racing in a home made vest is more true to the cause of being a Fell Pony so all you lot who have bought (lovely) vests and that includes me....are lightweight Ponies!
Anarchy brothers....and sisters:D
i think that may have been me who accosted you in the car park potto it was my first outing too and you was the first vest i saw .good to meet you anyway mate :)
LIGHTWEIGHT??? It took me hours to sew on all those sequins!! I'm not sure it's quite the finished masterpiece yet either?;)
Well reporting in in on the damaged foreleg - think sundays Dave Staffs a go-er, went for a swim, sauna and hydrotherapy session tonight - still really swollen and not looking too fine in fact kind of looks as someone put it that I've "been in a car crash"!!! BUT, it's bearable - reckon if I'm pampered all week and with a bit of light trotting round the stable block it should be fine.
no snow here but the new zealand rugs out of the box brrrrrrrrrrrrr
If we are all lightweight ponies does that mean Amex no longer has to diet???:D
Yeah, just to second the Master.......there never was an obligation to buy the vest.....if you wanna make your own vest / t-shirt....whatever really....go for it........im sure we could even e-mail you the logo if you want to use that in any way.....I just happen to like the vest personally....
no rules with yonder ponies......just love what you do
Oh my mind is now in over time i can come up with something completely bizarre with a large pony on the front and and even larger one in the thing!!
This is why i love being a pony, absolutely none, no where in sight, on nobody's mind the idea of wearing a high viz jacket, this country has to many high viz jackets and to many people telling you to wear one.
Anarchy anarchy anarchy:cool:
*hmmm thinks how he can beat emmzi*
