I am not one for Alcohol, but what Lager/Beer would you recommend me buying tomorrow when i go Asda?
I fancy getting drunk!
Nice cold Guinness at Observatory bar at Manc airport :)
Just cracked open a bockle of coniston old man......i wonder if work have a drinking policy....gota set off in an hour.....sure i can supp all four by then.:D
Does Holsten Pils count as real? Don't usually do lager but the wife got some of this stuff in and it is rather nice - very buttery with some body to it, not lightweight and tasteless like many lager lager lagers. Several hours on the bike and then 3 hours on the lawn at home with some of this - what a GREAT day. Could have been made complete with a trot when I got back but I'm currently broken down on that front
Rescue ale at the bbq to day. will have another bottle before bed to take the pain out of mu quads. it doesn't usually hurt this much.
3 pints of Banks's at the Hoghton Arms, junction 3, M65.
Pedigree was also available. Food excellent and cheap!
No Ale tonight, but does doritos and chilli dip count LOL?
2 x bottles of Mountain Rescue Ale for me
BBQ today, sans beer!
Bottle of Hoegaarden in fridge doing nothing. On tablets that cannot be mixed with alcohol (I might explode, or something).
It just didn't feel right...
I have brought out of hiding my remaining bottle of homebrew cider that has been maturing for 3 months and escaped the recent 'mad wife' episode. Have promised to only have a couple of glasses and after a few mouthfulls the taste has improved with just 3 short months of being in the bottle. You could actually savour it now and appreciate it as a 'proper' cider!
Better get a few gallons on the go for winter (going to use brown sugar to lower the alcohol content).
Theakston OP.:) Only started having this again last weekend - after many years - because it's on offer at Asda. I'd forgotten how nice it is. Mmmm.
