6m to work, 6m home, straight back out with dog for a hilly 4m, very humid today.
Nice evening run around swinsty reservoir trails with Martyn P, Helen P, Stef F and Derby Tup, did approx 9 miles in total and nice and muddy, ate too many crisps, pork scratchings and peanuts in the pub after mind...:w00t:
A very warm and humid 75 min run over Bordley and Threshfield moor with my mate Eddie.
Shortest run in a long time. 4.5 miles on tracks/rivers around The 12 Apostles on Ilkley Moor. Absolutely brilliant fun in weather like this. Not a soul to be seen. First time in the Mudclaw
272's......what a great shoe. Much more grip than the X-Talons.
Having just returned from Sheffield Uni Sports science lab where I've been doing a heat stress test, I can honestly say I've discovered the reason behind the saying "Tight Arsed YorkshireMan"! I've been shaved for electrodes on my chest nr Left nipple and seeing as it was in the heat chamber they needed to monitor my core temp, I'm not going to go into any details where the thermometer was but the sun doesn't shine there...!!!
Max HR hit 189 but they missed my hand signal to speed up for the last minute so still probably 191-2
36 degrees heat and high humidity, 5k in 19.20
I've got to go back and run 2 10k's over the next two weeks in similar conditions...
17m/3010ft from Ripponden to Bacup. Felt a bit peckish in Tod so called in at Morrison's for a Ham and Mozarella panini, didn't realise it came with chips and salad, bonus:thumbup:
An easy 8 miles along The Grantham canal.
