Re: Tonight's football thread
Good game that. Arsenal beginning to play to the last minute like Man Utd now. No love lost between Dutchmen though :D
Re: Tonight's football thread
I'm sick as that ficking parrot, worst way to lose a game, after we worked so hard to keep them out!
Re: Tonight's football thread
Had an initiation last night. Was taken to my first ever footy game to Arse v Geordies. Um, don't you need a midfield to win games? The blokes in black and white had obviously lost theirs. Arse looked v. fit whereas Geordies had their legs run off them. Nice stadium. Seats had padding!! No pies though. Boo!

Agreed. There just seems to be an inevitability about him dragging them up to the top. City, for the moment at least, look like like they've been psyched out big time by the old master.

I wonder how he does it? He's certainly accomplished tactically and like all good generals has luck on his side, but getting players like Carrick and Fletcher to the pinnacle of club football is remarkable. Two players in their late thirties are a regular fixture in that side.
When you look at their squad I can only think of a few of their players I'd have at Arsenal (Rooney, Vidic, Park) - and that's saying something!
Re: Tonight's football thread
Although I'd much prefer to see City win it (scratch that I'd much prefer to see Arsenal win it but that'll never happen) you have to say its now Man Utd's to lose. Yes they still have to play Man City away but their run in looks to be pretty darn good all the same:
Wolves (a)
Fulham (h)
Blackburn (a)
QPR (h)
Wigan (a)
Villa (h)
Everton (h)
Man City (a)
Swansea (h)
Sunderland (a)

It'll swing back and too yet..
TBH we have to play three who are in the bottom few.. then Sunderlan, Swansea, Everton are 3 inform teams..
I think its sat evenly now.. They have Tevez coming back which could work perfectly.
