Oh and congratulations to Harry on completing his first ultra. 5 hours and 57 and first dog :)
Sorry to burst Harry's bubble but he was 2nd dog
, Ian from Caldervalley was in before you with his brown collie, but still a good effort, and definitely first dog in the pub.

Ooh bone of contention :). I'm sure we overtook them and didn't spot them overtake us back but, either way, harry doesn't mind.
Re: Haworth Hobble/Wuthering H
Managed to continue my streak of massive PWs but hobbled round gamely in the spirit of the thing.
Today I feel as if my entire body has been forced through a mangle.
Back again next year for more.
Re: Haworth Hobble/Wuthering H
Sorry I missed you TF, I was looking out for you. Good effort. See you in Heptonstall I hope! Get on the foam roller, make the mangle work for you.

Many thanks to all the marshalls along the route, and all the helpers at the start and finish, also.
Myself and my running partner cycled to Haworth from Leeds but only made it as far as Bingley on the way back, wisely modifying our plan in light of worsening weather conditions. The Midland Hotel, closest to the railway station, had radiators and beer!
We were joined by Meg who met us there and she had a great run, also.
I can't believe you cycled to the race as if the Hobble isn't hard enough! Hard as nails you lot.....well done Nipper and Steve.
Re: Haworth Hobble/Wuthering H
I didn't see many forumites till I reached the whisky stop at Mankinholes and then they were all round me.
It was my first Hobble and when I reached the Haworth main street at the end I wasn't sure how
to get through to the school but while I was stood there scratching my head a bloke came out of a
nearby pub and pointed the way for me. Nice to see the local community embracing the race as well.
I have just emptied out the contents of the pockets in my waterproof:
1 plastic cup
1/2 Hot Cross Bun
1/3 Snickers bar
1 damp glove (the other has gone AWOL)
The story of my race :D
Re: Haworth Hobble/Wuthering H
Linda, it was lovely seeing you, and I was so pleased you did a great time!
We cycled at a very steady pace, honestly! It was more of a warm up than anything else.
What a great event, I was so thrilled to be part of it.
