Train to Keighley, run back to Headingley (Leeds) via Ilkley Moor, Otley Chevin, Bramhope, Eccup and Meanwood.
Longest run in a while, typically after a cold week here it had to warm up again today so I ran out of water halfway, and the cafe at the top of the Chevin was closed! Meant I got a shift on down to Bramhope though!
Also I got sunburnt, on one side only as usual, further enhancing my ridiculous tanlines
Yesterday Sat PM a steady run, 8.5 mile 725 feet, along a section of the Wolds way, lovely sunny evening :)
Birthday present to self: Clitheroe to Bowland Knotts, via Easington Fell and a stop at Slaidburn for water and victuals. Then back down the road into Gisburn Forest to meet my lift. Some typically obstreperous Bowland terrain, so a fairly slow and arduous outing - still great though! 21 miles, 3,000ft in pleasant cool sunny conditions and only shared by half a dozen walkers the whole way.
A gentle 3.5 mile jog on tarmac before breakfast, which is not my preferred time of day for running.
Interval training with club, some road, some hills, finished off with a charge through the woods and up to Birk Crag. 5.78 miles.
Cracking run out over Ilkley Moor this evening with the club followed by beers at Bar t'at. Poor showing from Ilkley Milers :closed:
A very pleasant 9.7 miles 878 feet along the Wolds way, chomping through a bit of Rump Steak now :thumbup:
Club run from Longsleddale. Was always going to hurt after going round the three shires route yesterday. Straight up the fell side into no mans land between Grey Crag and Harrop Pike. Up onto Tarn crag before the cracking run off down to Mosedale and the long climb up to Branstree. Original plan was to finish the horseshoe over Harter Fell and Kentmere Pike but decided against it so dropped back down the pass to the start. Great run.
