[QUOTE I'm going up "Doris" tomorrow.[/QUOTE]
Yes, I've heard about those ex pat communities!
Another faster than expected club run this evening..............
Hmm, I'm probably just getting slower
Not today's training, last nights. 10km with 4 x 2 minutes at race pace and 5 hill sprints
Just over 15 miles and 2000 feet of ups around the long Grin N Bear it route. Got bitten by the bog monster.
10 miles and a fair bit of climb in burbage/grindleford area. Walking, leading a duke of Edinburgh group, but carrying 30pounds+ off toddler and all the assorted "essentials" so think it's definitely training!
8 a.m, 9.25 miler from Ilkley along the Millenium Way. Managed to find another new path through High Plantation, which is always pleasing. Windy, rainy, foggy, boggy, brilliant.
Set off early from Barbon village and once we got to Barbondale contoured across claggy featureless fellside to find an unamed trig above Barbon Low fell. Descended same way before heading up a long slow climb to Crag hill. Took the direct descent over horrendous tussockly terrain to the road. Intention was to climb straight up to Calf top but left that for another day. About 12.5 miles and a slightly disappointing) 2500 ft of climb.
Really grim weather out on the fells, high winds, loads of rain and little visibility. Hats off to the 3 Peaks cx 'ers'..
Ran a half marathon. Only a very slight 450ft of elevation! but felt good! however legs are now sore!
