Re: Today's Training
My run every day in September, turned into run every day for 40 days, but sadly yesetrday, day 41 I didn't run  (Excuses Sir; I left home at 4am and didn't get home until 11:30pm from work.... Excuses excuses, I still had 30 minutes of the day left, I know ;) )
Anyway... Back on it today! If I got running twice on Sunday will that make up for yesterday?

Re: Today's Training
Good effort OHW, terrible excuse but great stuff on the running in general
1hr 53m on the local patch for me, just cruising about getting muddy. Very very wet out there today.

1 mile in the pool. That's it.

Re: Today's Training
5.8 mile and 650 feet on the Scars. Just seem to be squeezing runs in at the moment - need to get a longer outing booked into the diary!

Re: Today's Training
Having ran Great Cumbrian Run Half at sub 7.30 pace I now realise my basic runs have been too slow for some time. So I did 5 mile at 7.15 pace. Set watch at 7.30 to give me something to chase. From now on anything under 10 mile needs to be ran with the watch set thus!!! Whats that expression 'fast runs faster, slow runs slower'....or some such!?

Re: Today's Training
14.4 miles with 2400 ups and downs. From Yeoman's Hey to Dovestones, Chew, Laddow, Black Hill and back. Lots of land slides in the Chew valley and the footbridge at the neck end of the res has been washed away.

Re: Today's Training
Friday did 4:45hr walking on the hill.
Saturday did the Manor water hill race in 1:27 just made itinto the top third of runners so I am happy with that.
Sunday I did 4:30 hours on the Moffat hills with MM pack, I needed to practice my map reading and taking bearings for the OMM, I think route choice will be my failing. :o I ran on the Moffat hills starting at The Old well car park back of Moffat ran round the hills taking in Hartfell and back to the car park just before dark and never saw another runner or walker, now you try that on a Sunday afternoon in the Lakes:wink:.
