Fairfield Horseshoe - 11.95 miles in 2.41 - cold wind on top but great views - quite muddy on the eastern side as expected. Had not "run" it before - feels totally different from walking it.
Not long in from a run up the Beacon; 5miles/1000ft. There was an inversion forming down the dale from the village, a couple of mipits are still around on the hill and the tupping rams are in the fields making next year's lambs
6m 1350ft Crowden up to Bleaklow and back, what a cracking day to be out on the fells with the one you love.
An easy 1hr 1/2 reccying some ground that'll form part of a long mid winter training run.
Looking promising too for such unassuming terrain, reckon it'll work out about 35miles 6500ft. Train to the start as well which is handy. Lot's of ace views, heather, boggy ground, fast skinny trails, fire roads, and forests. And should have a tail wind for it, bonus.
11.3 miles from Marsden to Blackhill and back, with a deviation thrown in. 1650 ft of ups and downs and one fall over a "he is just friendly" dog. Nice.
60 minutes hill reps session last night, feel great today:thumbup:
Lovely clear morning in the Howgills this morning. 7.1 miles and 2300 ft from Howgill Lane out to the Calf taking in Winder and Arant Haw in both directions.
An easy 45min, more reccying.
Managed the avoid the prison escapee that is allegedly in the area
