Did 14 miles and about 3500 feet Yorkshire Bridge Whin Hill, Loose Hill, Kinder and back to Whin Hill. A bit Icy on the popular paths and deepish snow towards the plateau. Good to meet up with 3 DP guys including Andy Barnett before they cut off back to A57.
Hour and a half around Staveley fells this afternoon. Saw not a soul. Superb.
Quick 23 mins around woods just to get a run today. Drizzly tonight. Big run tomorrow hopefully!
10 miles of ice and snow up to West Nab and back. 37 miles for the week. Nice to be back at it.

Yesterday 7:30am. Wessenden road was sheet ice for the first one and a half miles. Glad I had my Lidle ice grips on. BTW I have sorted out the optimal route over Black Moss.Quote:

8 miles from the door, the going was a lot softer than yesterday but great views of the snow capped higher fells. Saw a grand total of 3 people!

The 3 tops race(Marg Hill,Outer Edge, Pike Low) any route, in any order was as a cracker with Nobthrob winning by 2 minutes from IainR who passed me in the last few metres on the run in to the finish. Grimmer was 4th. Other Forumites included PaulE and one or two others. a good route choice makes all the difference.
22 runners in total, not bad for a club race.
I'm now on resting until new year
