Thursday did just over 2 hours and 2700ft of climb, very difficult under foot, the tussocks and the ground were frozen the snow had a crust that was just not thick enough to take you weight, all made it slow going. It was nice and bright sunshine though.
Yesterday 11 miles with rucksack on the road.:thunbdown:

Just over 9 miles of the Marsden 10 miler. 1300ft of ups and downs. Bunged in West Nab as well. Still snow about. The sheep are on the dam walls, a sure sign of bad weather to come!
Reps of Loosehill and a jog out to Hollins X. 9 miles and 3300 feet. saw loads of Edale Skyline recce's out.
Interval training on the Monsal. 45 mins :-)
Slow 7 mile trot over White Edge and Curbar, ground very hard and wish I had not worn my Mudclaws , although I managed to find the only unfrozen boggy hole and plunged in to the knee , nice ! Bonus though was how quiet it was on a normally busy route but it was bloody cold.
3 mile head torcher!! Was, as usual, thinking I'd not get out but tea wasn't ready when I got in so I said I'd nip out. Really pleased I did as I managed 3 mile in 21 minutes (...fairly decent for me!!) and saw a big corona around the moon! Lovely!! :)
Steady 13 miler.. well that was the plan.. but at mile 10 was offered the chance of a 16er.. so said yes then the pace dropped.. 5:53-6:13 pace for the last 6 miles, nice work out..
430 miles in my 34 days out here.. nice block of training..
Last day off was 80 days ago.. will try everyday for the year, seems OK if I include steady 3-4 on my rest days..
Really wished I had a group like that to train with more often, 10-15 guys, really makes the long runs fly by.
H.I.T. training today, 4 miles cross country race, I managed to be first home for my club, and second vet’ overall, but they first tried to give me the 1st place in the over 50 class only problem is I am not over 50 so I had to hand it back :o.
