Day off work today and had hoped to cross the Pennines for a quiet recce of the Anni-Waltz. Now look what the weathers gone and done!!! Grrrrh:mad: Looks like it's not going to improve by tomorrow either - double grrrh!
I am supposed to drive to the Lakes tomorrow evening, from the Black Mountains, S wales... forecast for bothe area's looks a bit dicey to say the least... I am doubtful I will dare drive... Which would mean miss my race on Sunday :( Mind, it is at Whinlatter, so if the weather does as forecast, I doubt they will get the competitors up the pass in their cars :w00t: and may well have to cancel the event :(
Car down at the main road turns out to be a good idea after all (15 mins walk away, downhill). The coastal climate hasn't completely kept the snow off the hills this time..
about 40cm of snow in my garden in N E Wales, car more or less buried
Oh Crikey.....My cars gone...so's my garden....i'm sure there used to be a picnic table over there.....
Definitely the most snow this year... My poor little daffies and the poor baby bah lambs!
I was really enjoying the start of Spring a week or two ago.... I think ? Or was it just a dream?
Snake pass is closed and I couldn't resist an early morning wander onto Derbyshire Level...some interesting snow drifts, 3-5ft deep in places and a bracing strong wind which almost blew me over a couple of times, thats only at about 220m so dread to think what the conditions are on the tops. This is the wildest conditions I've seen in Glossop this winter
The snow finally arrived in North Manchester. The back garden has about 3 inches and in the front the snow has all drifted round the door covering the cat flap.
