Aww hazel is luvverly.Didnt manage 60 miles this morning. It was ta windy. 50 miles and picked up a couple of riders on the way back and we shared the work.Nice enough weather apart from the wind.
Err im not good with horsey things actually.I dont trust the whole keep your hand flat whilst your giving it some grass theory.Closely followed by a trip to a&e with your fingers ripped off. They are odd things horses and ponies and pony types are weird an all.Sat on something you dont pedal. Its all wrong.
ooh thanks for posting pic
some guidance for lady cyclists..
http://www.m-bike.org/blog/2011/11/2...-women-riders/
I like the lady cyclists list75 mins on rollers tonight with 15 x 2 mins on and off thrown in.Then spin session , hills. After that a toffee nut latte made by the lovely kate the nice barista.
Two hours of spin on Tuesday @ average HR 87% of max.
Should that be doable? It was hard but I wasn't totally destroyed. Or does it look like I have my max HR set wrong?
Same coming up tonight with 3-mile runs there and back ...
Yes two classes is def good.I tend to get there. Adjust the bike and fit my keo pedals a bit rapid. Then climb for twenty mins, then first class, then pedal in between class, then do the next class then bike home.Only one problem . Two hrs looking at lots of women in lycra.Spin is such hard work. 70 mins on rollers earlier with 20 1 min sprints chucked in. Then a run up lantern pike.
Was wet, windy, sleety, with bit of skiing with bike on shoulder. I have cycled or ran to work every day this year, not used the car since last Xmas eve. Folk at work think i'm a looney, well they did untill i told em about you lot on here;)
Top top effort steve.Thats not easy to do every morning. Even robert millar couldnt have done that as he wasnt an early riser.Nice one mate.
Just about 60 miles today into the peak. Waited till lunch as there was too much ice.Decided to do it as a race . Hammered it to cromford, hammered it up the via gellia climb with some sections in the big ring. But then paid the price over the tops as it was very cold up there. White over from newhaven.Gathered my thoughts and then picked up the pace again to get back as it was getting dark.Three other bikies out.Fingers frozen on the descents.Be careful if your riding tomorrow and its icy
Yes Hann, even last years horrible winter, it was pretty grim though, many a morning i'd groan and roll over for a few minutes, and getting on the bike or running home in the dark when everyone else is getting in their nice warm cars and laughing was tough.
But the second car was sold many moons ago and public transport means two buses so no bail out option, it just has to be done. It's only 6 miles each way but sometimes i take a longer route making 8 or 10 miles.
Cheers folks, you all serve as an inspiration when the going gets tough, with all you've achieved yourselves;)
Steve you just invented a superb piece of cycling slang.Groan and roll, groan and roll.Nice one
Merrylegs SF
