I liked the superfeet and to be honest I find them better for running in than my custom made orthotics.
I can only run in them though in trail shoes and I don't like the feel of superfeet or orthotics in my fell shoes.
I'd recommend people trying superfeet as a cheaper alternative to orthotics!
I'm sure i asked you this at the time, bit do you need to get your shoes a size bigger to wear superfeet?
No you take the old insole out and replace with the superfeet, but make sure you get them fitted properly.

as a result of having recurrent calf tears and plantar problems - seemed cheap enough to give a go and well... they worked for me.
I only wear these in road shoes though, so they won't be the solution for the fells.
I've now got a new pair of road shoes and am giving them a go without the insole - so far, so good.
Not seen these before so can't comment directly on them although they do 'appear' to be a similar product, but as above don't buy with out getting them fitted as badly fitting footbed can increase problems or creat new ones.:(Quote:

At 13 I had terrible knee pains that the doc said was growing pains, my mum didn't believe him and got a second opinion which was that I rolled over on my arches as I walked and that I also had hypemobile knees, so my whole leg snaked sideways as I walked. Apparently one or the other would not cause much problem.
I also had a creaking in my knees which they thought was juvenile arthritis or the precursor to it:) Any way, sorting me out with orthoses helped my knees to line up as my feet were held firmer and took most of the pain away.
The last time I went to the hospital, I tried to talk to the consultant about getting fit and running but he said there was no point doing more than walking as it would only lead to pain...I find however that if I do lots of leg strengthening and stretching that I am ok...who knows, I'm not a scientist.......(what a great motivator!)

One thing I have a problem with, is trying to find everyday trainers that my orthotics will fit in!!
I wear trainers for work and tend to use Adidas Stan Smith but the orthotics don't fit in due to them having a arch in them.
What everyday/fashion trainers do people use with there orthotics?
Another alternative might be the asics cumulus I use with my orthotics and find excellent. Generally over the last few years I've found that a firmish feeling cushioned neutral shoe works best with them. (but avoid the asics nimbus though - lifeless breezeblock of a shoe - rubbish!)Quote:
