Good one..
Hard session last night.. now its fully summer the forest trails in Rostocker Heide are now extremely sandy.. just so much harder, 1 km warm up and then 20km at 6:25 average pace.. have done quicker in there but my legs were still tired, but the sand was awful.. great training..

6am start to avoid heat, 16km in just over 2hrs which is pleasing to me. did 13.6k yesterday.

The classic first session back last night.. felt good strangely.. 1 mile warm up.. 4 x 200m around 5 min miling.. 3 x 1k.. around 5:15 pace.. 2 x 500m around 5:10 pace and 1 mile back.. 10 k and a quick swim in the Baltic.. actually warm and unsalty..

Pulled 10's of the little shits off me after a walk up Beinn Fionnlaidh glen etive... clegs were awful too..
Finally found some hills...
s: 4 mile trail run. pm: Karwendal Berglauf.. 2 mile warm up then 6.8 miles 1380m ascent.. not a great run, tired and road shoes and snow didn't mix.. but ran well enough til 2000m
s: 8 mile trail run. pm: 6 mile hike Bavarian Alps.. wild camped 1500m ish near a lovely little alm which made cheeses..
m: 10 mile hike blaubergs.. finished up Halzespitze.. 1862m.. pm: 8.1 mile trail run Taubenberg 900m ish..
Nice few days.. but looking forwards to proper training again

5.5km loop from home. same one as I did on Saturday but knocked 1min4sec off my time today...that includes a 34sec quicker 2nd kilometer which has most ascent/km. guessing the slightly cooler weather helped.

Road bike, Gisburn - Waddington - Slaidburn -Bentham - towards Settle- Gisburn Forest -Gisburn. Hard but absolutely stunning.

Decided against one last hill run.. so trail run up the Iser.. 10 miles.. 3 x 200m 200 recoveries to get going then 5k at 5:50 pace up the trail.. then 1 mile recovery.. 3 x 1km reps back down.. at 3:25 pace.. then 3 x 500m reps.. 10k of efforts so nice session.. felt shattered and finished with a swim in the iser.. very cold..

10 mile road run today. Felt pretty good, but running on roads. God it's awful.
I'll run the Tick gauntlet over that.
