Angela Mudge 2nd.
Makes Duracell winner of 3p guessing comp then.
Well that was great fun :D
I finished with a 4:22 but my wheels were falling off badly coming off Ingleborough.
Oh I like the split times - I was 398th at Ribblehead, lost 8 places going up Whernside, gained 12 coming down, gained another 11 going up Ingleborough (including Jodg ;)) and gained another 12 getting back to Horton (slow motion overtaking by then mind).
I went up for a watch at Ribblehead it was pretty good looks like the places changed a lot after there though. Well done to everyone who ran, that wind was pretty stiff in your face from PyG I guess ? I ran the Wray Scarecrow 10k on the way home first road race for a while, bar the London marathon !
4hr 55mins for me on debut. Had a fantastic day and loved the event. Tons of support and loads of familiar faces. Good to meet Manhar, jodj and Mountain Goatess for the first time and great to see NotOnUrJamie back back on the hill!
Finished in 3.57.29 well chuffed with that for a first time.
Had bad cramp all the way down from ingleborough. Ouch
What a good race and some cracking people running it.
It dulled the pain.
Thanks to the organisers too.
Better have a look at my blisters.
All the discussion about shoes before the event - I turned up in my Puma Trailfox's which I've only run 5 miles in. Promptly changed my mind when I went to register (the field was quite soft) and used Innov 8 Mudclaw 330's - very pleased with the decision since it was quite muddy most of the way.
Just about beat last years time with 4.35 - disappointed really since I was hoping for about 4.15/4.20, but as usual the descent of Ingleborough took it's toll - not enough training in Jan & Feb.
Well done to everyone who competed - organisation brilliant (although I would have liked free rein to descend Whernside on the grass).
4:39 - bad cramps coming off Whernside and doubted I would manage Ingleborough, but got going OK and came down Ingleborough in decent shape.
Really enjoyed it and will be back.
Thanks to the organisers and marshalls and also thanks to the great support around the course.
