Plenty of snow on Crossfell today. Starts about 600 metres. 4 or 5 inches deep on northern slopes, where it's been lying for a week or more and fresh snow added since Thursday. That deep, on top of very soft boggy ground and tussocks....I 'ate it! Grrrrh
Snow started at about 850m in north Snowdonia:

4 weeks in the middle of winter and no one has posted on the snow thread....
allow me to rectify that.
It's snowing on and off near the woodhead.
Wetherlam and Fairfield are both have patchy snow, though Wansfell Pike and Loughrigg look snow free.
Very short (10 mins?) but very intense mini-blizzard on kinder this morning. Then it pissed down. I should've been a weather man, me.
No snow where I am.
Denby Dale snowing - Waiting for it in Sheffield eagerly. Flask is waiting for hot chocolate and sunglasses out of summer storage!
Torrential painful hail-shower on Kerridge ridge near Macclesfield at lunchtime.
We need a "Hail?" thread.
Or perhaps we don't.
While I was writing the previous post, I hadn't noticed it was snowing outside. So...
Snow in Macclesfield.
