Had a run round the Pilgrims Cross race route this morning with a wider loop round Holcombe Tower thrown in. A local farmer had put up a sign saying a large Tortoise had escaped from his farm. The way I am running at the moment I don't think I would have caught it had I seen it

Headed out on the Cateran Trail today in search of a winter project.
Intended to do 20m but only did 13. Bloody hell it's wet, the ground is incredibly soft and saturated. Borderline un-runnable in places. And hard going everywhere else.
Hard to believe I'm choosing the West Highland Way for a 'dry' option in winter.

Nice run up and down Ingleborough, descent with headtorch! Not as much as I wanted to do today, but struggling to get my head together to decide on long runs at the minute!
-
Short blast around the block, managed 7min miles for just under 3 mile. Not bad for me these days! Blimey it was dark in places too! Headtorch next time I think!

Monday night 10k 300m road race
Today 25k pacey flat run
-
Hill work. 4400ft in 8 miles.
-
Great run out today. Very strong dose of runners high, nearly pulled the car over into a layby so I could get the stereo on and throw some shapes.
52 miles and 10,100ft ascent for the week.
-
I went round my 2 Trigs, 2 Pikes and a cairn route. I usually throw in another Trig but the horizontal wind driven hail and snow made me shorten it a bit today. Good preparation for The Trigger anyway.

Bit of a bimble around Ingleton Waterfalls. Not a soul about!! :)
Had intended getting two good days 10 mile plus in, but stuff got in the way, not least the weather! What a softie!!
