Does anyone know if it's been raining for the past 5 days around Rotherham like it's been doing in Manchester? Please say it hasn't (but I'll deal with it if it has ).

Well, if Leeds is awash (and it is) what hope for Rotherham?
Thanks Paul. Crosslites for me then.
It finally stopped last night and the sun is shining for the first time in nearly a week. Saturday should be dry and still mild.
I'm quite looking forward to this again. I've been dreaming of colourful cartoon maps and PBs. Only one will be real.
so def shoes with grip needed!? how much is tarmac / fields trying to decide between traily shoes and felly shoes any advice?
No idea what the % of each is. start - lots of tarmac footpath/ cycle track and throughout race a fair bit altogether but also some very muddy fields and the bit near the abbey and kepplers are both off road.
Not sure which I'll wear yet but taking crosslites and Vasques
in that case i may wear one of each!! Ha ha! x
think im gona wear wave harriers 50 mile is a bit too far in fell shoes for me, there'll be room at the back with me nick if the pb eludes you :w00t:
See i think i am with you there my wave harriers are my felly ones now as i can't wear innov8s anymore - since running ultras my feet don't fit my innov8s! So yes think i'll join you in that selection!
