Did this in 2009 and it is a great event. Really sorry to be unable to do it this year... (family commitments). The atmosphere is friendly and the food stops are varied managing to have on offer exactly what you need. Although hardly an expert or racing snake, if you are going for a time, try not to spend too long at the food / checkpoints. An extra 2-3 minutes times 14 or 16 checkpoints really adds up!
A great day out and great value for money... I even got an extra 5 or 6 miles in at no extra cost;)
There's about 8000' of climb I think... a bit more would be nice but I'm just being fussy...

Andrea, there are loads from Macc doing it, but I suspect there is a little frisson of competition amongst them;)
I trotted round with Dave W and, whilst his shin splints were troublesome from Peak Forest, getting seriously off track round the back of Three Shires was the body blow that lost us hours!:angry:
The Bullock Smithy is nearly here!!!:w00t: next weekend for the fun:thumbup:, should be great, how's everyone feeling, all ready and raring to go? or a wee bit apprehensive like me?
The forecast looks like it could be pretty decent for next weekend too:).

Very apprehensive.....never done that kind of distance before. Plus the night time navigation over an area I've not been to before!! I should of got some trail shoes too.....basically I'm not well prepared I guess!! :o
