Does Duddon fill up? Is EOD available and reliable?
Not sure but I'll be travelling a fair distance to get up there on the day so hope that EOD is available.
The web site says......
There’s an entry form for the long race you can download from the requirements and entry page. Both races can be entered in Seathwaite Parish Room from 9.15 on the day.
I can't see anywhere what the race limits are
Cheers, don't want to pre-enter as I'm working at sea that week so things are always a bit variable and weather dependant so don't want to take a spot if the race will fill up. I'll only know for sure later that week. I'll probably chance it then.
would I be right in thinking Black Combe run in green with a black band across the chest?
just out of curiosity of course ...
struggling to find the best public transport option from oxenholme to broughton-in-f / seathwaite: trains go to foxfield, but is there then a bus that goes anywhere near duddon? Any point heading to ambleside? ulverston ...? bit of a shame this info is so hard to get hold of, no wonder everyone bloody drives.
Hi
Bus website http://www.cumbria.gov.uk/roads-tran...es/default.asp
No buses to Seathwaite I;m afraid
You can get to Coniston/Torver (505/X12 buses), but then you have a good walk along the Walna Scar road turning rightto arrive at Seathwaite/Turner Hall Farm Campsite. It's possible if you have the time to travel on Friday and camp for a couple of nights
Hope you sort something out. maybe some kindhearted local runner could give you a lift from the rail station/bus stop?
