Re: BGR June 2013
I reckon it would be better if Bill was carrying the tracker - I'm hoping to have one next week and I'll carry it I think. The satellite pickup looks a bit lop sided today but that could easily be from the weather. Like Vespa said hopefully Bill's safely in Wasdale and its just a support runner catching up

Re: BGR June 2013
Just a guess but maybe the studs from Gt Lakes recces have misled them to Sleight Side area.

Re: BGR June 2013
I'm off now but the very best of luck to Bill. 10:23 in Wasdale which puts him circa an hour down on a 24 hour schedule. Still all the play for!

Re: BGR June 2013
Looks like Bill's going to be on Great Gable with 3 hours to go, which isn't quite enough time. Hopefully there's a lag on the tracker

Re: BGR June 2013
Hi Gents I am back off the leg 3 as a support runner. The conditions were very windy at times, the rain wasn’t too bad, we had a couple of heavy showers and I would swear we had Hail at one point. Despite a head wind Bill was going strong and hitting his peaks on time, and by Bow fell we were 2 minutes up, however the clag made Navigating very difficult for our navigators, we did go off line somewhere round Scarfell in the clag. Bill was great and still going well when we left him setting off up Yewbarrow. Fingers crossed for him as the weather looked to have cleared as we left Wasdale.

Re: BGR June 2013
Seems like he's going for it irrespective of the 24 hours target. Good man.

Re: BGR June 2013
Bill went through honister at 4:30 , he's 2:05 over but moving ok and in good spirits with a slight hobble theres no doubt he'll finish although over 24hrs but hes happy with were he is and got Keswick in his sights. Thanks to all the lads and lasses who made today possible I'm sure bill will give report and be in touch with you all. I'm off home to bed :)
