I was talked into this after our club's training run in the pub on Tues. Was quite happy, quite looking forward to it...but what's all this talk of cut-offs?
I've been done up like a kipper!!
See you there.

"Put some wax on the tracks and slide on out of here!"
Isn't that the starting lyrics of one of Adam & the Ants tracks ?
You can explain tomorrow on the way up Southernsoftie.
Don't worry about the cut-offs ~ you'll get round:)
Come on Mr Noor, scores on the doors please.
Well That was harder than I expected but very enjoyable. A big field 330 plus. Ricky Lightfoot won in a bit under 2 hours and Janet McIver was first lady
From memory...

4 John Helme
5. Jon Deegan

2. Jane Reedy

Biggest cheer of the day however went to Selwyn who did the race for the first time after organising it for 25years! And he recovered suitably well to be his usual chirpy self at the prizegiving
Despite feeling very ill as soon as I hit the climb up to Lingmoor - I don't think I'd taken on enough fluids as I was going round - had a great time. Many thanks to the lady supporter at the bottom of Lingmoor with the banana.
Some lovely views from height, making the climbs very worthwhile. Good support all round, cracking weather: a grand day out. Shame I didn't get back in enough time for a pint:(!
My first 'classic' fell race. Will be back next year. Thanks to the organisers.
BRILLIANT!!! Great route, great day, pleased with my run too but that was only an extra. Even the weather was perfect, adding atmosphere to the start and clearing for the second half when I was tired and clarity was more helpful. Beautiful sunshine, friends, chats and beer afterwards. What a day! This is what it is about. :D:D:D

Loved it
Struggled a bit with the route as id never recced it so had to hold back a tad especially on Wetherlam.
Bad luck to Phil Whinskill who was running and got injured but he finished. Well done Phil.
Realised i needed new shoes on very quickly as my 270s sole's where knackered. Lots of sliding about on the rocks:(
